Volunteer Opportunity in the BPS:
The Brockton Adult Learning Center is offering literacy training for volunteers interested in tutoring adults in reading, math, HiSET preparation, citizenship, or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). It is a four-session workshop, and the orientation meetings will be on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 6 p.m. or Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 9 a.m. All workshops and tutoring sessions will be held at the Brockton Adult Learning Center, 211 Crescent Street. The efforts of our volunteers are an integral part of the successes of the ALC students, and the students are highly motivated to reach their educational goals.
