ALC PreK Teacher Erin Knapp Honored with
Columbia Gas Award and Check
Congratulations to Erin Knapp, preschool teacher at the Brockton Public Schools Adult Learning Center, who received an Appreciation Award on Tuesday from Columbia Gas of Massachusetts.
Lead Operations Support Specialist Carol A. Pilkington presented Knapp with an award at a celebration at the ALC along with a check for $300. Knapp will spend the funds in her Family Learning classroom, where she teaches 3- and 4-year-olds while their parents study English and prepare for their high school equivalency exams.
Schools Superintendent Kathleen Smith joined ALC Program Coordinator Kathleen Quinn and other staff and students at the Adult Learning Center to celebrate Knapp's success.
Each fall, Columbia Gas of Massachusetts holds an Employee Appreciation Cookout at which raffles are held to raise money. The money raised is donated to a worthy cause in the community. This year, the company chose to honor teachers and the many services they provide to area children.
Knapp is one of several area educators selected to receive this generous Teacher Appreciation Award.
