Brockton High School alumna Amber Gordon gave four presentations about her post BHS life to current BHS students May 18, 2018. Amber talked about her undergraduate education at Arizona State University where she earned a degree in kinesiology. She also discussed her time studying abroad in China and South Africa. Currently, Amber is in medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Florida.
The prospective medical students in the audience probed Amber about the MCAT and the application process to medical school. They asked about her study habits and time management skills. Students like Sharma Erase were impressed by how Amber studies for 12-15 hours a day. When asked about all of the time and effort she puts into her studies Amber said, "If you put in the work, it will show." Amber's knowledge and tenacity definitely showed.
