Brockton music is on the map! This weekend, the Brockton High School Music Department was represented by students in state and national honors ensembles! On Saturday, March 2, six BHS musicians performed in the 2019 Massachusetts All State Music Festival at Symphony Hall in Boston. Craig Duong ‘19, Domenick DeAndrade ‘19, Giovanni Perreira ‘20, Victoria Sueiro ‘19 , and Marc Valcin ‘20 sang in the All State Chorus, while trumpet player Elizabeth Moukit ‘19 played in the All State Symphonic Band.
Meanwhile, two singers, Jade Etienne ‘19 and Mynthia Gonkpala ‘19 were performing in concert with the 2019 American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Honor Choir at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, MO. They were among only 4 students from Massachusetts to be selected to this National Honor Choir.
These young musicians have represented themselves, our music program, our school, our city, and our state incredibly well with their talent, artistry, and professionalism! We couldn’t be prouder!
