The big news today, in addition to another wonderful year of Special Olympians taking the field at Marciano Stadium, was a $50,000 donation from Brockton Mayor Bill Carpenter to help build a new playground for the Downey School to accommodate children with all needs. SEPAC parent Terry McIntosh is working with other corporate funders to help meet the approximately $197,000 total cost. Thank you Mayor Carpenter, on behalf of the students, families and staff of the Brockton Public Schools.
