The Brockton's Promise Caring Adults team is hosting the 9th Annual Mentor Recruitment Rally and Celebration in honor of National Mentoring Month in January 2017! This is a FREE event, open to all in the community, where existing volunteers are recognized, and we work to get the word out regarding the need for more mentors. During the event, "The Promise in Action Award for Exceptional Mentoring" will be given to nominees who have mentored a young person and who consistently display behaviors worthy of a role model. This is a great opportunity for YOU to nominate a colleague you think is an Exceptional Mentor or to encourage the YOUTH YOU SERVE to nominate someone.
Last year alone, we had SIX Brockton Public School employees, and THREE Brockton High Schools students nominated as Exceptional Mentors! A special congratulations to Emily Flores and Darius Depina for winning the overall Promise in Action Award for Exceptional Mentoring at last year's event!

COMMUNITY Nomination forms are for adults looking to nominate a colleague/community member. It only takes a few minutes to recognize people for making a difference; recognition at this event will help them to know that the little things DO matter, and their community sees the powerful impact they are making each day.

Completed forms can be mailed or brought to Amanda Trask, Old Colony Y Mentoring Dept., 320 Main St. in Brockton, or completed online. Forms can also be faxed to 508-588-6730.
