Citywide Spelling Bee Winners Announced!

Congratulations to the winners and all participants of the Citywide Spelling Bee at the Little Red Schoolhouse on Saturday. What a great and fun day it was! Here are the results:

Grade 8

The first place winner was Evelyn Murphy from West Middle School.

There was a five-way tie for second place:

  • Tyler Landry from The Davis K-8
  • James Cordon from the Davis K-8
  • Rebecca Chagas from East Middle School
  • Hanniel Silva from Plouffe Academy
  • John Daddona from South Middle School

There was a three-way tie for third:

  • Tyler DePina from West
  • Grace Smith from Trinity Catholic
  • Enorguehi Omon-Ukpebor from Trinity Catholic

Grade 7

The first place winner was Isabella McNutt from Plouffe Academy

The second place winner was Olivia John from Trinity Catholic

The third place winner was Isaiah Tavares from North Middle School

Grade 6

The first place winner was Alie Jno-Baptiste, Jr. from Plouffe Academy

The second place winner was Henoch Yeme Castillo from South Middle School

The third place winner was Owen LaCara from the Ashfield Middle School

Grade 5:

The first place winner was Hulda Fernandes from the Huntington School

There was a three-way tie for second place:

  • Dora Dorval from the Hancock School
  • Kurt Sooknanan from the George School
  • Lourdes C. Mizhirumbay from the Davis

The third place winner was Ibukunoluwa Akinwunmi from the Baker School
